Why Pay-As-You-Go
Most databases require an upfront cost to set up the underlying infrastructure to manage your database even though the database itself may be modeled as a PAYG pricing model. With Fauna’s truly serverless model, the underlying infrastructure is already ready to use with Fauna’s database requiring no upfront investment. The PAYG pricing model allows Fauna to be utilized similarly to an AWS 1st Party Service.
